Clear & Transparent Answers

Frequently Asked Visa Questions

Common questions regarding Qatar QID exemptions, third-country visas, passport validity, and transit requirements.

Does my Qatar residence permit (QID) allow me to travel visa-free?

Yes, for many destinations! A valid Qatar QID permits visa-free entry to Georgia and Armenia, visa on arrival in Azerbaijan and Kuwait, and simplified online eVisas for Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain, subject to your profession and permit validity.

Can a US, UK or Schengen visa get me into other countries?

Yes. Countries including Mexico, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Georgia, Colombia, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic accept a valid multiple-entry US, UK, or Schengen visa instead of requiring their own embassy visa.

How much passport validity do I need before booking international travel?

Most international destinations require at least 6 months of validity on your passport from arrival. Schengen destinations require 3 months beyond your planned departure date, while the UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan require validity for the duration of stay.

What is the difference between visa-free, visa on arrival, eTA, and eVisa?

Visa-free means you simply present your passport at immigration. Visa on arrival is issued at the airport counter upon landing. An eTA (electronic travel authorization) is a fast online approval usually approved within hours. An eVisa is a digital visa applied for and approved prior to travel.

Do I need a transit visa to connect through international airport hubs?

It depends on the transit hub. Dubai, Istanbul, Singapore, and Seoul allow airside transit for most passports without a visa. In contrast, the United States and Canada do not have airside transit and require an ESTA, eTA, or visa even to change planes.

Does Wise-El issue visas directly?

No. Visas are granted exclusively by sovereign government immigration authorities and embassies. Wise-El provides document auditing, checklist preparation, and administrative application assistance to ensure your dossier meets official guidelines before submission.
